Quranic Gatherings Held Across Iraq to Mark World Quran Day

IQNA – The Holy Quran Scientific Complex, affiliated with the Hazrat Abbas (AS) shrine, organized several Quranic gatherings across various Iraqi provinces to commemorate World Quran Day. 

 

As part of its initiatives for the occasion, the institute, in collaboration with prominent Iraqi qaris and memorizers, held a Quranic event in Karbala.

Qaris from Iraq, Indonesia, Iran, and Egypt participated, delivering heartfelt recitations of Quranic verses.

Alaa Al-Musawi, the institute’s deputy director of education, emphasized the Quran’s greatness and its connection to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS). He described World Quran Day as “a starting point for fostering a lasting connection with the divine scripture.” 

In Baghdad, the Quranic Institute of Baghdad hosted a similar event at the Malik Al-Ashtar Hussainiya. Qaris from the Hazrat Abbas (AS) shrine performed recitations, followed by poets reciting verses in praise of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

Meanwhile, in Babil province, the Holy Quran Scientific Complex organized a Quranic gathering at the Imam Al-Kadhim (AS) Mosque and Hussainiya. The event honored the birth anniversaries of Imam Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS), and Imam Sajjad (AS).

Attendees enjoyed Quranic recitations, exegesis, and poetic tributes to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
